Weekend update...
Let's see... finally finished painting the nursery this weekend, picked up all the dropcloths and moved all the furniture back into place, so not only does it actually look like a nursery now, but we can finally walk through the rest of the flat without breaking out necks.
That's about it, really. It was too cold to go to the lake.
And this morning I'm making sourdough apple fritters.
Here's the recipe:
2 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 t Penzey's baking spice
1/2 c sourdough starter
1/4 c milk
2 t oil
1 egg
1 large apple, peeled and finely chopped
Mix thoroughly, let rise about half an hour or so, and fry. Roll in more sugar if you like.
